Engine History
The San Juan's Washington Iron Works engine powered the cannery tug San Juan since its installation in 1930. According to the original Washington Iron Works records, the vessel was originally called Virginia. The San Juan sank February 13, 2017 in Noya, California. The ship was raised and scrapped in 2019, but the engine was removed to be put on display.
